Daycare Visits & Deliveries

West Fargo Public Library helps ensure every child at local daycares is ready to read and succeed in school through our daycare book delivery program and other outreach opportunities. We are also always looking for daycares that can help spread the word and encourage parents to sign up their kids for our 1000 Books Before Kindergarten program. Daycare Book Deliveries

Our daycare book delivery service promotes access to books and literacy development by bringing library books directly to local daycares and preschools. This service is available to licensed daycares and preschools located in West Fargo or within the West Fargo Public School District boundary. Library staff select 20 children's books and deliver them to the provider in a tote bag on a monthly basis.

  • Only local providers holding an institutional library card may request a daycare book delivery. To obtain an institutional library card, an authorized officer of the institution must accept responsibility for the card by listing themselves as an Institutional Contact on our online card application form.
  • Providers may request one delivery per month.
  • Books and totes are delivered and picked up on the first Monday of the month.
  • All items must be ready for pickup in good condition. Borrowers are responsible for the books and tote bag, including all costs associated with damage or loss.

Daycare Storytimes

West Fargo Public Library storytime activities reinforce kids' vocabulary, social skills, language development, and creativity. Through storytime, practicing these skills is fun and positive, which encourages kids to read and learn independently as they grow up. The West Fargo Public Library is currently in the process of evolving our daycare storytime program.
